erice 732
i'd say flush it with kero and then then drain the kero into something like a 2ltr coke bottle and let it settle then see what kind of contaminants you have if you have water, sitting at the bottom flush it again you can carefully decant off the top clear kero back into the tank for the 2nd flush keep doing that until you get good clear kero coming out methylated spirits can be your final rinse as it absorbs water but be very carefully to get it all out, and maybe air the tank well, before filling it with kero again meths fumes are far more volatile and explosive than kero fumes
Guest
Depending on what type of burners you have it might pay too dismantle them and clean and reassemble it could be a bit of Valve packing or something other crud fowling the jet when the pressure comes on. These guys are great to deal with in sourcing parts, http://www.base-camp.co.uk/
erice 732
yeah, depending on the age, use and type of your burner you may have collected a lot of soot in the burner head that is now breaking off occasionally and blocking the jet if you can get the jet out have a scratch around in there with something soft like a toothpick and see what gunk comes out
