any one run the predict wind routing ? with the current weather ?
-
as part of Oracles (32 foot local version) getting back into competitive racing (after winning the recently finished RNZYS wednesday series) we're doing the Tauranga race this weekend, Easter. looked at the weather maps this morning and it still looks like a hard (wet) beat to channel island, then a leisurely reach down to coast to TGA in some nice swells..Looking forward to it !!

yup..... all the above sums it up. oh for a code zero.

more entries, i see that Anarchy is entered single handed now, going to hard to get first online now. looking forward to it.

great work, good to see people getting into doing stuff like this....
-
great to see all this getting planned and talked about .... real keen on RNZ, on Oracle or something else by then. but isnt solo tasman in 2018 too?. bit of a clash there or is the thinking that those mad enough to do the tasman solo wouldnt want to do RNZ?.. what about 2019 for RNZ. I don't think i have ever planned that far ahead in my life..!!

before and after pic's ?

Your right about boating families.... and priorities when the kids start, we didn't sell the boat. kept the mighty oracle as is a good all round racer cruiser,...but to get into a bigger house we brought an old shitter and have now spent 5 years doing it up.... while cutting out yacht racing but still doing the cruising. (though less than previously.) we are approaching the final stage of the house, third floor and my/wifes bedroom in march next year, thus we are going cat3 racing this year again. i.e. coastal classic etc. like booboo, we have mostly second hand house stuff and the worlds sm

Hey Josh, your right ont he 10m thing, thats why we have stuck with Oracle all these years, she is 9.75 long and 3.5 wide so packs a mighty punch cruising and still keeps up with 1020's racing. i am still thankful i brought her almost 14 years ago now. like you now that my boys are getting older we are looking further afield again. the modifications are still happening too we are currently rebuilding the old rudder. and the next RNI is on the cards again.
-
good to see you still going. was wondering with no posts for a while. you have taken that boat a few steps further than i did or will with Oracle.... mind you is there a new keel/rudder planned ?
-
ouch ... i know how that feels ... keep up the good work gals..!!
