Black Panther 1,592
Anyone know the limiting depth and mast height? Could I get BP through there?
John B 106
Navionics says 23 m for the air draft and from what I can see about 3 m minimum depth.
Rangi1 51
The overhead lines are gone now - they put them underwater a couple of years back. Plenty of depth.
Black Panther 1,592
Thanks, I'm 2.8m , should be Ok.
John B 106
The overhead lines are gone now - they put them underwater a couple of years back. Plenty of depth. Good to know . The electronic chart was ambiguous, showed it underwater on the actual chart but when you clicked through to the info page it still showed the air draft.
Black Panther 1,592
Exactly, and my wife gets very nervous going under bridges, it always looks like you'll never make it till you are on the other side.
John B 106
Wouldn't be too good through the southern arch then ?
Black Panther 1,592
Had a look from the outside and carried on. Brave I am not.
John B 106
You don't have to be brave , just a bit stupid . I for example, have been through about 6 or so times in two different boats. The conversations usually go a bit like this... Do we have plenty of fuel, do we have plenty of fuel , are there any lines over the side , do we have plenty of fuel , fuel? lines? move that line. Battleship 100
Went through a few years back, although the Chart showed an easy 8 meters clearance the lines looked bloody close from the helm, it was that bad I went around the long way on the return trip.
