Sean Plunket often raises this topic on his radio live show, and in true storyteller style doesn't let the truth get in the way. Every time it comes up I text and/or email explaining that most yachties I know don't want the campground gone or the marine hub there, and yet he filters them out every time, saying all the sailing community want this hub! Makes us sailors out to be some bunch of filthy rich tossers. Dunno about you lot, but for me it's just one of two sports I'm actually good at, and I'd probably spend more each year if I swapped it for golf! Not that I could afford the green fees.
