Island Time 1,252
Nope, not banned, just have to be flued (which mine currently isnt, but could easily be)...
marinheiro 352
as a minimum the water heater must have a "Room Sealed" rating, this is more than just adding a flue to an existing unit. My Rinnai was adjacent to the stove which has a shared extractor hood/fan over it but I was told this was not acceptable.

Black Panther 1,607
Anyone else think this is getting silly? My boat breaks so many laws I might as well do the world a favour and sink it right now.
ScottiE 174
Yup but I reckon it's very quickly going to become an insurance requisite that you have your gas install inspected and certified every two years.
harrytom 652
Ok from bottle to stove must be in copper but can have flexible connection so stove can gimble? Bottle to be in locker with 19mm drain? so my bottle on deck can no longer drain over the side in case it leaks?? Who are the boffins dreaming this stuff up?what do they us to do,go back to kerosene/meths stoves use camping type gas canister stoves?? wonder if they would like me smoking within 5m of my stove or diesel tank? Oh by they way when my stove is not in use the bottle gets turned off.
