Fish 0
I got an IRC certificate once, for my 30 yr old kauri log. Having raced extensively under IRC in the UK, and wanting to support the move away from performance handicapping, about the time when there was a glimmer of interest in IRC in NZ. I may have well just masturbated with a cheese grater, it was slightly amusing but mainly painful. It cost a lot of rum tokens, and the only other boats racing with it it were worth 4 to 8 times the value of mine, and had sail wardrobes that more closely resembled Amelda Marcos's shoe collection... Basically an arms race for the latest 'optimized' European production boat. Handicap rant (partially) over. Maybe I should just buy a Zephyr and be done with it.
