vic008 17
Just reading a book and he is sailing thru the ice and glaciers way up North, and claiming he isn't using the motor. He averaging about 170m a day.No mention of ever being becalmed and little mention of anything on the nose. I dont know but it all sounds a bit far fetched?
Island Time 1,235
Whats the boat? Is it ice strengthened, or a ship? It would have to be big and powerful to sail through ice of any thickness at all and average 7 knots!
vic008 17
Custom built Elliot. Extra carbon on bow. Sailing the ice free channels. Would have thought that restricted your freedom and that would mean lots of motoring to windward if that was where your channel lay. Guess its all above board.
