ex Elly 254
For anyone who missed this live on TV earlier this week, you can watch it here: https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/black-magic-the-team-new-zealand-story/episodes/s1-e1 It's a good recap of ACs from 1983 to 1995, with historical footage and recent commentary from Russel Coutts, Chris Dickson, Jane Dent, Rod Davis and more.

ex Elly 254
Also interesting to see footage of Coutts ramming a start boat in a Stewart 34. And to learn that in 92 Rod Davis was sacked as helmsman, and Coutts then took over and lost his first/only 2 races on the helm.
harrytom 697
Imagine sailing the new 75s in the conditions/seas the 12s sailed? Dirty Den almost come across as human in the end.Didnt know Cayard Helmed instead of Dirty Den,funny seeing Den grinding. What ever Happened to Cayard??
ex Elly 254
Cayard did a Volvo race around 12 years ago. Skippered Pirates of the Caribbean. Did very well in the in-port races. Was in Wellington for the 24 hour pit stop.
Addem 121
He was in Bermuda for AC 35. I was just listening to him commentate on the challenger final last night. I’m watching it all over again to make the thrill last longer. the coverage was definitely better there.

May want to have a rethink of your statement above HT, pretty sure Dalts got onboard after the 2003 campaign. https://emirates-team-new-zealand.americascup.com/en/team/34_GRANT-DALTON.html

Therefore, those responsible for the management structure - Peter Menzies, Ralph Norris, John Risley and Kevin Roberts (as directors), Dean Barker (sailing) Ross Blackman (administration) and Tom Schnackenberg (boat design) - have collectively and individually accepted responsibility for the team's performance. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/why-we-lost-the-cup-extracts-from-the-team-nz-report/MFQMEBBY6ITTJQZG35OF47VA7U 52 minutes ago, Bradz said:
