Fish 0
Apparently grounded kiwis are now chartering motorboats and 'driving' them across the Tasman to get home and dodgy the MIQ cluster. What could possibly go wrong? A bunch of random strangers, a big ocean, and not a lot of idea. I'm sure it will work out great until someone losses an eye. The below article didn't say how they get the charter cat back to Aus. Maybe there is a market niche here for someone to offer a shuttle service between Opua and Sydney? People have been chartering private jets and filling it up with randoms to cover the cost. Could be some money in a trans-tasman ferry service. I'm assuming the boat would need to be MSA surveyed and all of that. Wonder how much people are willing to pay to avoid the MIQ issue? Black Panther 1,593
I have had a number of offers to sail somewhere and bring back stranded kiwis. Some offering quite good money.
waikiore 405
If they are released into Aotearoa at Opua -have they been appraised of the fact that they will not be able to drive straight home to mummy in Remuera?
