What timber is my interior joinery?

Slanty - to me the drawers at least do look like oak. Don't know where you are but I have a few bits if well aged oak that that you could try for a match. Collection Pnt Chev Auck.

Thanks for the responses. it was definitely the colour that put me off thinking it was teak/mahogany etc. I think it does look like oak too - I might try and match that way or perhaps go with a mounting plate has other have said.

Another way is make a timber surround out of a dark wood so it looks different and not like a poor match ???

As Jon says above, either a darker timber or any old timber and paint it white? You've a reasonable amount of white inside already so might not look out of place?
