Changed 10
Anyone got any tips on installing soft hood lining on the cabin ceiling. The last one was done with Ados and has been a pig to get off. T've used velcro before but it very expensive.
w44vi 17
ados contact adhesive is the business. You don't need much just enough to stick it and to remove any over spray or residue from the old glue ados have a solvent cleaner
PaulR 3
We used LARGE domes, females on coachroof, Males on liner(s), normally vinyl glued to thin ply. Held well but still easy to pry off without damage.
Guest
your on the shore, go to the Glue Guru on wairau rd, on the lft after valentines as you head to glenfield. they have stuff in a spray can which "spider webs" when sprayed, and allows a short period to slide the material about. way better than ados contact, and less expensive

Guest
any suggestions on gluing wiring in, tried glue gun but it just peeled off. may have been too damp?
PaulR 3
Epoxy. But I would try to epoxy in a pipe or thin flat square electrical trunking. That way you can replace the wiring if required, or run an additional 2 or 3 cables at a later date. Go to an electrical wholesaler and see the large range of trunking options available these days. Make sure you use TINNED wiring, and preferably with an outer sheathing over the insulation. Boats move a lot and vibrate, unlike most houses.
otto 31
any suggestions on gluing wiring in, tried glue gun but it just peeled off. may have been too damp? Hold the cable in place with some duct tape and use silicon. Only needs a little.
Changed 10
That works OK until you come to repaint again in the future. Velcro on the back of the conduit with the other part stuck to the hull works well.
