Scotty3934 5 Posted March 6, 2011 Share Posted March 6, 2011 Gidday All Has anyone got any pointers on getting on boats for Cowes race week and any of the other big race weeks coming up for the euro season. Experienced Kiwi yachtie living in London these days. Massive hole in my weeks at the mo with no yachting and not really any chance of mid week sailing down south or out east due to work. Guest Posted March 6, 2011 Share Posted March 6, 2011 RORC does a skipper vs crew speed dating evening some time in Spring. Look on the RORC website. Otherwise ring all the sailmakers and put the word out with them based on the position you want and size of boat you want to sail on. Also roll down to the Hamble for one of the Winter or Spring series and walk the docks. Take your own inflatable PFD - they make you wear them there. A Kiwi accent will go a long way.
