Vivaldi 55
Just being nosy, but there has been a large yacht anchored at either Manly Beach or Matakatia Bay for quite a few months now so seems to be a reasonably permanent arrangement. Does anyone know what the deal is? We were wondering if it’s someone who’s given up on the constant outgoing of insurance condition reports, cost of insurance etc and given up on marina life? Or maybe someone having an awesome extended cruise / livaboard…..

B00B00 317
It's an old Grand Mistral 80 race boat that's been converted to a cruiser. They livebon board and are just saving on marina fees. Pretty sure they have a container or some kind of storage setup at gulf harbour somewhere and bring the dinghy in there often. He's not an easy guy to deal with.
