Shhhhh!!! The kiwis think they have it in the bag!...

At last a thinker!... you got it Osho. But don't tell royale & co.

Justin did you retain your N.Z citizenship and do you have duel passports?

Oracle could brew their own craft beer and put a challenge to ETNZ. Although OR probably wouldn't want that kind of distraction at the moment. Although it would make for a better weekly video than a team Yoga session!

you're right and hydraulic jobbies don,t need to be Auto!

also hinged can be controlled by a lever and a winch arrangement as well as manual pump re like the ISAF regs.

the only joy stick will be the JOY when they STICK it to the opposition...maybe?

keep in the square lads - keep in the square. :D

You Mean = = =

Altitude Control- Oracle controls altitude by pivoting the daggerboard F& A about the lower bearing to change the angle of incidence of the "L" foil, the way they do it is by having a crew member "fly" the boat using a joy stick hydraulically connected to a push rod that moves the board. In other words the boat is flown manually.

or do you reckon it,s done another way   Justin. :?: :?:

Don't you know that with a cat the hulls are going through different parts of the wave train at the same time, this design allows one bow to be rising on the face of one wave whilst the other is coming down the back of the wave behind.

Fully controlled flight. I think we might be in trouble here guys...

Do you believe that.

It,s a shot taken as it was just at 12 knots and just lifting to foil.

Have you seen a photo of ETNZ at anything other than near level? So it is interesting that NONE of the Oracle ones have it remotely level.

Either one boat is much more extreme and taking more of a process to tune, or one boat is not flying as expected. Or maybe the SL33s are paying off and ETNZ dont need to test as much.

Certainly the hull flex indicates a different concept. Noone stuffs up that big by accident and interestingly the few photos of Oracles AC45 were bow up aswel...

ETNZ have had a bit more practice, although their boat looked much more under control out of the box in those first foiling photos. Will be interesting to see how quickly OR can get comfortable and up to the ETNZ level of normality. One thing for sure, the OR boat has a lot less margin for error when the bows go under. Seems like ETNZ can recover from some pretty nasty situations with the extra buoyancy in the bows.
