Bimini Babe 0
Yeah I figured something might be up with Camper's equipment when it said they were heading 090º with true wind direction from 087º. Man those race boats sure can point to windward!
Fogg 427
Yeah, there are a few things on that dashboard view that beg questions e.g. Average Speed = since when? Last hour? Last 24 hrs? Whole of leg? Average wind = same question (what's the period)? Gain/loss to leader = same question (since when)? Can't see a key explainining these?
chic014 0
It's over the last three hours. If you hover over the numers on the dashboard an explanation pops up. The dashboard has improved significantly since the first leg when they didn't explain whether it was average speed, instantaneous speed or what.
Guest Rocket
Go to dashboard tab then hover over the measure you want to understand Average speed = last 3 hours relative to land Average wind = last 3 hours relative to the water etc. The DTL is not very clever - you need to reinterpret it... Fogg 427
Oh ok. Although it seems to be a right old mix e.g. Av Wind = over last 1 hr. Max wind speed = last 3 hrs Av boatspeed = last 3 hrs. Av wave height = 1 hr. Another thing, the distances to finish seem to be virtually unchanged from 24 hrs ago. Cos I was trying to work out their ETA yesterday morning and I remember looking at Groupama showing about 1200nm then and Camper 1400nm-ish. So I'm still not convinced it's right!
