chic014 0
We heard the bang. Happened just under the harbour bridge before the start. The new Ninja also went over by the navy base. Anyone know if they got it back over?

203 0
Still madeit to the BBQ Much damage to the boat? Really feel sorry for the guys on FD... Must be real gut wrenching!
Guest
We bore away under the bridge to get ready for a final approach to the start. As we bore away the case on the canting rig system broke and shock on the safety line and backstay took up and broke the diamond and then the mast. If any one has any ideas of options for a new Mast on a budget. We can fix this mast but it not really stiff enough for the power of the boat so we are open to ideas. Really gutted as we were looking forward to a good summer series.
Guest
How long FD? There is a male mould for a carbon wing section rig (Approx. 80mm x 195mm x 10m) sitting about 15m away from me now. Its not mine but the guy building it is a good dude and it might be worth having a conversation. Sorry to hear about the carnage.
Guest
that would be about 10m to short, only sensible solution Dan is to build a wing.
Hurts 6
What happened to AGIR's original mast? - I know it got busted but it was crazy tall, there might be a 15m section left intact... Wing eh? that will be easy to manage in the marina...
