Murky 1
I try not to be one of those pedantic b*stards but the Townsend thing does my head in (sorry PaulR): Des TownsonFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Des Townson, MNZM (1934 – 15 October 2008) was a New Zealand yacht designer. He was responsible for designing some of the best-known classes in New Zealand sailing, including the Starling, Zephyr and Dart classes. In 1950 Townson won the Tanner Cup, the nation's premier teenage yachting championship. In 2008 his contribution to yachting earned him membership in the New Zealand Order of Merit in the Queen's Birthday Honours list. Townson died on 15 October 2008 after a long battle with cancer at his home in Auckland.

waikiore 399
Once upon a ship called Wandering Star They thought Three Kings doesnt look too far The wind blew light The seas were slight All the gun boats trimmed.. "If this race takes any longer we shall all be slimmed" The islands were rounded Pundits all about were confounded The red pitchfork home in the viaduct All crew watered home in bed and ....ed Still the old gulf cruiser sailed fast Race boats looked at her ahead all aghast Anyone remember Moonlight in the trials ? Back in the day Out off the bays Montcommentary starting out on the airwaves The next week came but she never did halt Till they sailed up the harbour victorious old salts Now over the years some have called them a dog But you just cant beat the joy of sailing a Townson kauri log!!
