  1. As above, take them to Actron. Five years hydro test for the CO2 and a periodic pressure test (normally 5years) for the others if they are the rechargeable type. - should state on the label if it is still there

    Batteries

HCB Technologies - They have a huge range and if you know someone with an account there the savings can be very good.
  3. I thought the Super is not means tested. I know of a good number that get it and are earning 100k+ a year working. If you were on a benefit when going onto the super you need to declare that. Or is it tax related? The money from his mum's estate - could it be classed as a gift?
  4. In the words of Larry Robbins - It is called impact hydrography. He told me that on a run to the Riverhead Pub..... on a steam launch.
  5. If you are looking or clean disconect couplings for hoses one term used is "dry break coupling"
  6. Purisan did a system - I know of at least one boat in Northland using it. Will try and get the spec. 7. Could never understand why they went for FPP over CPP. Probably made it a cheaper build...

  10. Did that run on a steam launch a few years ago, 3ft draft, touched twice, sticky mud. Long oar came in handy.

  12. Got the chainsaw out and chopped up stuff...
  13. What sort of chain saw did you get? I have a Pioneer 620s and a liitle Sthil aborist chiansaw. The little one is good for harvesting avos via the chainsaw method - the pioneer is a bit heavy for me when 20-30ft up a tree.

  15. In old conservatory found a soft spot in corner, lift the carpet to find a previous repair, decided to lift all carpet to replace damaged particle board - found there were cork tiles under the underlay - so if I replaced particle board there would be a need to level the floor - easy answer - garden spade to lift old tiles (also scrapped a lot of the glue off) - replace particle board where damaged - belt sander to smooth it all - painted it then carpet tiles on top to make it look nice.
  16. This afternoon I was working - out on the water, got a few pics of yachts racing.
  17. Not totally marine related but.... We started moving onto our new place. over the last few days we shifted 3 truckloads, & 3 car &trailer loads. We now have a few Acres of land, a house, a 3 bay implement shed with power, + lots of trees. Now the marine / boating part is that we will have room to house a boat project if someone needs the space. Covered space will be limited to 1 bay of the implement shed + part of the enclosed bay. Anyone interested just let me know.
  18. drove a tug - tug display off Queens wharf + usual shipping.
