15 to 20kts, BULLSHIT!!!!

After Tiri, which way did you go :?:

We had a few little wind puffs, but knot that stuff. Once we made sure you got going around Waiheke towards Gannet, we lost sight of you . . . . once the wind came up a few clicks.

With our BIG Supertanker headsails, we have a more intimate relationship with hewey, unlike the kindergarten sized ones

WHAT :?: :?: You don'tcompare AWS to Forecasts

Down a little then into the beaches hoping to spot some hot chicks moonbathing, nothing seen.

We lost sight of you at darkness as we both, ya cheeky sod, were just south of Tiri heading at Navy. We were holding your speed..... but then the kites came down and headsails went up. Couldn't work out who was who once we hit Tiri, all the big boats were coming thru and we lost track of which was you.

We got a couple of gusts maybe nudging 12kts and then they were only very short, bugger it. Probably no more than 7-8 at best most of the way and at the odd time less. We only leaned over, due to the wind, a couple of times and never got fully powered up even once, bit annoying really as it was nice water and would have been fun with some grunt. We should have used the big sails, we had one aboard, and just withdrawn from the race at the finish. We reckon that would have easily shaved an hour off our time, maybe more as we should have got thru the Waiheke cluster f*ck before it grabbed us.

We were quite amused with your 'See ya later comment' only to have you parked up 50mts behind us 10mins later, that could have gone very bad for you

The forecast (metservice and Windguru) weren't that far off at all but it all just came in a tad later than they were suggesting.

Yeah we saw 15 apparent and that was probably the most we saw coming back from Tiri. Not alot really, although thats enough to be fully powered up in the SR tiptrucks with the number ones on and 4 guys missing off the rail!

Was definately a day for Code zero's and got to give the new Beau Marine furler a good work out! As did the rattle and Pepe. But still very enjoyable!

A one track mind.

We went the otherway, because the tide was turning. Had good wind all the way; even considered a change DOWN to No 2, but held on to No1, fully powered, all the way towards Administration bay, tacked up Rangi shore to the less breeze near the lighthouse. Looking at the times, we may have done rather well with that tactic, except we must of spent to much time becalmed and pushed back by the tide near you at Waiheke, and the lost hours were knot regained.

Can you send them back to me before Race 3 :?:

And we thought that was just the encouragement you needed to get going.

See. It worked :D

21 'apparent' Tom?

We had probably 10 knots through there and no more than 12-14 the whole way from Tiri to the Finish.

Enough to be hull out the whole way though.

Jeeze, we never got a hull out all day (and night).

Actually not true, tiri channel she popped out once or twice, but never from tiri home.
