SanFran 12
I have a spencer32, twin skin ply with glass over... Beam is about 3m for memory. Is there any way of finding out your boats weight? (without getting on to the travellift... if they do that).
rich2 0
pass but if any body knows how acurate are the travel lifts
wheels 543
Smithy is probablyb the better one to answer this. But it depends on the way it is measured. If Load cell, then very accurate providing it is calibrated and how many decimal points. If hydraulic, pretty darn accurate, just dpends on resolution of guage. Anything else and close but not highoy accurate. All close enough to give what you need for general boat weight though.
Atom Ant 0
Ball park 4000 kg.
smithy09 50
You could use the "Crew" loadcell if we canb ever get it back from Jono. It is only 5000kg and you would have to stop lifting if the weight got close to that.. You still need a crane though, and lifting gear, all brought back to a single point.... A single loadcell is the most accurate way. Some travellifts have electrical loadcells which should be pretty good, within a kg or so. The hydraulic pressure type measuring systems will depend very much on how they are calibrated.. No guarantees there!
Guest
I once borrowed 4 sets of scales they use on trucks and weighed the travel lift with and without the boat
