To those who have and those who are about to, what route for your qualifier? Kermadecs and back is the obvious but too short???

I went from Wellington (Mana) straight out into the Tasman for 250 miles. you had to have not more than 3 waypoints to qualify, start, turn, finish....

There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing, as simply messing about in boats

I thought about that, but since we have islands and sh*t to sail around I was trying to find something to go around for interests sake.

have you entered CO? the kermadecs is not to short - unless requirements have changed? used to be a 500 mile trip. Raul island and back is closer to 800 mils odd is it not? (from memory)...

Couldn't you just qualify on the way to New Plymouth?

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Stop making sense!!

Na, I think we have to get it in and done a wee ways prior. There are limited entry numbers and a waiting list. That's a fair call I think.

you have to get permission to use the voyage to new Plymouth, as its more than 3 waypoints, and there is/was a "must be completed by" date. however, at least one entrant was allowed to do this
last time.

Have you considered a route KM?

Not entered as it is full, but seriously considering going on the waiting list.
