ballystick 72
Just ignore what I have said as it only has a hard dodger, looking at your pictures I have got the wrong idea! Sorry, as you need a bimini mainly.
Guest 000
I'm going to build a new dodger for the H28 - sick of the canvas one and cavas workers who are unable to.... That's another story. I have had success using 3mm MDF. You can generally get full size sheets free from a variety of sources as its used as packaging material for doors, windows etc. The edges may be a bit raggedy but that doesn't matter. The thing with MDF is that if you give it a bit of a soaking and then heat it with a hot air gun whilst still wet, you can bend it to any shape you want. When dry, tidy it up a bit, lather on some release agent and you have a mould for a polyester/glass lay up. I'm going to do this in situ for my new dodger, using the existing frame as a former for the MDF.

Guest 000
We are on our annual aimless three month cruise, currently anchored in Rocky Bay where yet another recently restitched seam on my dodger has just failed. The new dodger will take priority when we get home in April. Will do the pics.
Steve Pope 243
Chris, are you heading for Gt Barrier at any stage?
Guest 000
Hi Steve, Saw you anchored in Sullivan's Bay on anniversary weekend but missed the chance so say gidday.. Got a dodgy gearbox just now so intend to lay up in HMB marina for a few days, take the box home and lap the cones. Hope to be at Barrier sometime end of February.
