chic014 0
My new windows which I put on a few months ago have popped off on one side only. Used sika primer with the proper black sika window sealant with thick matchstick spacers. About 3mm. All according to the spec sheet. It appears to have let go between the primer and the acrylic. I didn't surface prep the acrylic, just peeled the paper off and brushed on the primer. The side that has popped off is north facing but I'd hoped using the matchstick spacers would've made the differential thermal expansion a non issue. Maybe there was some contaminant on the acrylic before the primer? Any ideas?
sow1ld 2
I always give the acrylic a prep up. Was it cold the day you put them in?
