madyottie 82
Where, in the opinion of those that know, is the best Auckland area for swing moorings? Shallow-ish is ok, its for an 8m multi with boards. Budget prevents me from getting a marina berth, at least initially. I'm wondering about Little Shoal Bay, they seem to be quite cheap there. All areas considered, I'm gonna have an hours drive wherever I buy it. Speak at me, peeps!
ex TL systems 63
If you are in Sth Akl why not look around Tamaki river or Howick areas nice and sheltered, I have one available at Little Shoal Bay but it is a drying mooring, which is ok if your boat will handle it and you can come and go at high tide. Moorings for sale or rent are probably fairly common. Have a look on google sat view there are plenty of mooring areas.

Vorpal Blade 89
Northcote point mooring area is in my opinion better than little shoal bay - in between the bridge and the motorway. There are also dinghy lockers available and water at the top of the ramp. For added security the multihull owners there have set up a boat watch Facebook page where we can easily keep everyone up to speed on goings-on in the area. There are several in this vicinity on Trademe currently.
