PaulR 3
Waaay cool. What can it lift and how much for a lift? And what's wrong with it that it is going? Talking to Besty yesterday, the Floating Dock can take up to 17tons (Tonnes?) with a max beam 5.2m. (Could squeeze in 5.3m if bumpers lowered to deck level.) Draft there is 9ft marked on the tanks/uprights, but that may not be the maximum draft. If critical, you will need to check. They offer a painting service as well.
wheels 543
Darn, 17tons ain't enough. I wonder if I put a few lifejackets and an inflatable under her. I need something like 20T, but not completely sure of the exact.

Grinna 2
The capacity of the floating dock is interesting cos we put our boat (47' length, 8' draft and 14+' beam with a displacement of about 16t) on there for the pre-purchase survey without any worries. Nobody seemed to be concerned about lifting capacity or size or anything else for that matter and I got the impression that it was no big deal, though it sounds like we were approaching maximum capacity for the dock.
