wheels 543
I would have liked to have seen him actually traveling that fast. Is that speed a target or has he actually accomplished it?
ex TL systems 63
I remember seeing a black and white photo of the same thing when I was a kid probably 50 years ago now
wheels 543
The forces at that kind of speed would be horrendous and I can't see how a guy on stilts and nothing more than a pair of blades could "stick" to the ice, let alone stay up against the force of driving the wing at those speeds. MartinRF 53
I don't know about crazy, colourful maybe. Yes, I have met him, he lives (lived maybe because it has been a while) nearby. No, I don't know for sure what speeds he has achieved but it is faster than 'normal' ice yachts -- superior aerodynamics. He also develope compasses designed to help racers -- for classes not allowing electronics. These guys also live nearby (and the Trampofoils were developed in a workshop I use for tinkering with parts of my boat). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQvYogFP9mw /Martin /Martin
