Vorpal Blade 89
While cleaning up a bunch of father-in-law stuff I found an Auckland Star newspaper from May 19 1972. I found these ads in Situations vacant, a clothing machinist could earn $40-50 a week, and there right below it is an ad for a sail machinist placed by a Mr Giddens. and parking at the Airport 50c a day! I will go into car prices soon. `
raz88 96
Giddens still going I think? Although I think I remember someone telling me they are more focussed on awnings and shade sails etc than boat sails nowdays.
Fish 0
Dave himself has retired / sold the business, but last I heard was still an active 'brand ambassador'. They still do sails, but yes they are doing a lot more of the shade / awning side as well.
