Ex Veladare 94
Has anyone got any thoughts on these bad boys? Am thinking of replacing my califont. Looking for hot water use only Cheers https://www.heatspace.co/store/p645/5kW_Premium_Diesel_Water_Heater_Kit_-_Eberspacher_D5W_SC_.html
wheels 543
They have some great advantages, but do be aware they they don't just instantly turn on and off like the Gas Califont does. The unit has a start up procedure, then takes a certain amount f time to get to full heat, then has a shut down procedure. So the difference is that it has a Hot water storage facility to give you the instant hot water part.
marinheiro 339
It will heat hot water but you will need a separate hot water cylinder ideally with a heating coil, similar to an engine heated cylinder (see Calorifiers in the parts and accessories section). These heaters are designed foremost for cabin heating by circulation though radiators

Bad Kitty 210
We've got one on Bad Kitty, as said, it heats the hot water cylinder, so it's not like a califont. But love it, and if you're doing it then I'd add a heater or two, makes the boat warm & dry in the wet or winter.
