marinheiro 352
"the perilous journey all the way back to New Zealand" - on the Coconut Milk Run ? Typical media cr*p Biggest problem would be having to provision the boat to sail from Panama (if they can get a transit) directly to NZ as all Pacific Is have closed their borders. Black Panther 1,589
I did Panama to NZ in 6 weeks in a cav 32. Most cruisers can carry 6 weeks food.
harrytom 646
Can a country lock a vessel out even with this covid19 due being in peril??I remember talk of banning the south african entry in the whitebread years ago,the thought was could enter under being in peril.Luckly never eventuated, just accepted a normal vessel. Black Panther 1,589
Lots of people on various internet cruisers hangouts report being denied entry in plenty of places. Sometimes allowed to take on food then leave. But one English boat in Spain was having trouble getting water. I believe Fiji has closed doors.

Fogg 427
Some Spanish marinas have been allowing ‘touch & go’ to refuel & rewater then exit port again.

Panama to NZ is around 6500 -7000 NM depending on route. 42 days - that is one fast Cav 32?
