Zozza 293
Usual sail wardrobe with a furler Anyone got a ball park idea?
Jon 360
Depends weather your buying or selling Comes down to willing seller willing buyer To replace with new no change from $50k would be my pick, but could be 100 or more depending on spec
Zozza 293
Selling yeah. I sail junk rigs, but have a second hand bermudan sloop rig with furler as per my OP that I might stick on Trade Me at some stage. $50K new sounds ridiculous, but I'm not in the loop and I don't doubt your right - no wonder people buy second hand

But for niche items there's a risk that your buyers aren't paying attention that week.
Zozza 293
Yeah Im not going to put it on for a $1 reserve as it's worth a few thousand at least -- good masts are not cheap. Just was after an idea of both mast, and sails including furler, if its $4K, $5K, $6K or more if in quite good shape. I understand a brand new mast these days for a 28 foot plus boat, would be north of $8K .... and that is without all the fittings, stays - then a suit of sails on top....might start auction at $3K no reserve.... aardvarkash10 959
On TM now you can add a "make an offer" option. This seems to be the best of both worlds. Set a start and reserve at the high end of your expectations, but allow bidders to send in their low-ball offers so you can consider them.
Zozza 293
I've put the the whole shebang up for sale on 'Classified' sites, for a pretty knock down price for anyone interested - mast, furler, sails and all components of the rig.
