ballystick 73
Today was the start for the Clipper Race that goes to the Gold Coast. Weather was not ideal - rain and a brisk North East wind. Went out with the procession to the startline which was off the Main Mount beach. It was a little cramped going out the entrance with a few boats getting in the way but a yacht anchored (not allowed) in the main shipping channel right at the narrowest part of the the entrance took the award for the "dummy of the day" award..... Battleship 100
I think the name came more from the original route around the world than the boats Wheels, these things would be soundly thrashed by the clippers of old in most conditions I would think.

Guest
Here are some photos from outside the confines of the Ballystick grounds. Taken from the mark laying boat. Always remember. Nothing is worn under a Scotsman's kilt. It is all in perfect working order. More images here. https://picasaweb.google.com/1094011183 ... angaStart#
