We are putting on several information nights ahead of the race with the next one scheduled for Thursday 23 February at 1830 hours (at the club). This session will cover search and rescue etc. The NOR is available on the website under NZ details. Once I have the next lot of info available I will also post it here. S. Information Seminars We have published dates for the information sessions that take up right up to the start of the race. Click here to view the dates (http://www.sailnoumea.com/nz-information-sessions) The next session is scheduled for Thursday 15th March from 1800 hours (the bar will be open from 1730). This seminar is relating the customs clearance etc. 15th March Seminar Outline – SPECIAL TIME 1800 hours Officialdom and International Ocean Racing. Think this is not Important – think again! Come and meet Adele Whiterod who is the Manager for Certification and Ship Registration for Maritime NZ. If you are not registered as a NZ ship, you don’t get a Customs Clearance and if you don’t have a Customs Clearance you don’t get to leave NZ or gain entry to a foreign port. Customs and Immigration will also be present with departure and re-entry information and packs. Make this part of the offshore exercise easy for yourselves Courses Advanced Sea Survival Course This course is scheduled for the 5-6 May 2012 at Royal Akarana Yacht Club If you are intending to take part please register online to reserve your space (http://rayc.webentry.com.au/regatta.php?regattaid=9) The cost of the course is $395 per person and includes morning and afternoon tea and a light lunch Thanks to those who have registered an interest however can you please ensure you now complete the form so that we know you are definitely attending – thank you!
