splashprincess 17
As boats are due to finish we will keep everyone updated, latest has the first boat finishing tomorrow morning. Finish line is off Worser Bay. If anyone is in town, the boats will be tied up at Queens Wharf outside Shed 5 so come on down to greet them.
splashprincess 17
Conrad Coleman on Cessna Citation has 77 nm to go to finish and is currently doing 9 knots, which makes a mid afternoon finish looking likely. But that depends on when the southerly arrives, and what Cook Strait has in store for them! Will keep posting updates as they come to hand.
splashprincess 17
Cessna Citation is off Stephens Island doing about 10 knots.
Guest
Cessna Citation and BSL Race Tracker frequency In the GOR's 21:00 GMT position poll, Conrad Colman and Sam Goodchild are leading the fleet to the Leg 2 finish line on Cessna Citation averaging 9.7 knots in Cook Strait with just 54 miles remaining. Ross and Campbell Field on BSL in second place are in the Karamea Bight, south of Cape Farewell, averaging 5.4 knots with 134 miles of Leg 2 remaining. As the two Class40s approach and cross the Leg 2 finish line in Wellington Harbour, the GOR's Geovoile Race Tracker update frequency has been increased to hourly. Once Ross and Campbell Field have crossed the finish line, the frequency will return to once every three hours For the complete update, click here.
splashprincess 17
Cessna Citation still has 40 nm to go and is currently doing 6.2 knots. We have a southerly on the harbour, about 15 knots, and persistent rain.

splashprincess 17
Yep about then. Geoff's last calculation has them 0800 tomorrow morning, but things have slowed up a bit for them all. Could be another all nighter tonight waiting for them!
Herdy 0
Conrad sent a mesage with an ETA of 4.5 hours. Yeah Right. It was 35 knots at The Brothers at 13:00. Tide is against them at present, so I think it will be a bit longer. The French are catching the Field's currently. Going in close to land may not have paid off for them. Herdy 0
Cessna is off Port Gore at present. They are tacking down the top of the sounds and have had the tide against them. The wind has built as well. The Brothers Islands report 42 knots at 15:00. BSL is still very slow trying to get up to Cape Farewell. They appear to be out of the main foce of the southerly. Campagne de France are still flying at 11-12 knots and reducing the gap all the time. Current ETA for Cessna is 23:00 tonight.
Herdy 0
Just got the latest positions. Cessna is half way between Cape Jackson and The Brothers Islands. The tide must have turned. They have picked up, but boat speed is still only 4.5 to 5 knots.
