but for someone to lower the tone of the thread as Peter wederell did is not a good vibe and makes a keen and passionate newbie like me wonder why I bother commenting.

Time to move on.

How does the ignore system work?

Isn't it great when old friends come back to visit.

Missed you like a bad rash.

Easy to make a SS prop in a Acro style that can be removed if desired.

Or as I stated earlier, there could be a composite beam layup incorporating a steel plate between the two beams. That could hold compressional rig loading if constructed correctly.

I presume the beams are laminated.

Just a question - has anyone been onto the boat ( and into it ) to actually see what is holding the load? Because conjecture based on photos is kind of a bit like debating something that no one knows anything about - can get very long and drawn out, but in the end, no one is any wiser....

is talking about the mast support still encouraging the acrimony?

it does look out of shape a little, kind of depressed at the crown there...

I,m back in! :D

I think it might be the camera angle Dr Watson.

There is 2 beams with a gap between. And the mast step would be on top of this.

Could well be a structure between the beams that spans to the gun whales/bulkhead interface?

Some on go down and have a look
