wheels 543 Posted March 9, 2013 Share Posted March 9, 2013 Wow. Not a nice situation. Yes Scopoderm is known to cause that kind of adverse reaction, among other side affects. Taking Alcohol when you have taken Scopoderm is a real no no and even if alcohol has been ingested the day before and the body is still trying to process it, it can still cause reactions. Fish 0 Posted March 9, 2013 Share Posted March 9, 2013 Had a similar experience with a sea sickness pill from the UK, can't remember the name, very common over there, you can't get it here for some reason. Sturgeron I think. Was on a cruising cat with a group of non sailing friends and one other experienced sailor, south coast of Cuba heading roughly from the Bay of Pigs towards Guantanamo Bay, destination was the Gardens of the Queen, can't remember how to say the Spanish names properly. One of the girls had taken said UK sea sickness pill. She was having a lot of fun watching the wild horses beside the boat, complete with Knights in Armour. When she started going on about the Pirate Ship chasing us and freaking out about it catching us we carried her downstairs and kept an eye on her in the cabin. She ended up having an epic sleep, couldn't remember a thing and thought we were making up a big story. Link to post Share on other sites
