At 60 I have always pulled my own anchor , brought up being told , if you can't haul your own anchor and main sll , sell your boat son , so dads gone , and the bloody anchor is getting heavier , so I am after a winch that can do it , should I get a capstan or one of the fancy through deck models , I have 15 mill warp 8 mill chain about a boat and a half , do the winch capstan style work , I need comments , this a serious matter

Doesn't matter how good he is as a sailor it's up to the boat , can it stay afloat , was it lashed together like the warrams. Cats are , can it handle 40 kts on the nose in 4 mtr swell an still sail , a lot of factors to weigh up stupid move on all accounts

Find details dial up the cover man whanganui
-
Not advertising for any body , but I have to have a say. I priced around for new Bimini cover , the prices were horrendous. So I quised a guy in whanganui the cover man , sent the cover down in a post office $10 box . And back it came , what a beautfull job I cannot get over the Finnish The tidy neat cover , and it fitted perfectly, I sent the lee cloths down to be restricted and refurbished they came back the same like new , so the boom sock followed and that was the same , total saving over half the other quotes in total , just shows you there is realistic folk out there

It's great to see the response team rush out there and offer assistance,

Good story why didn't they try to head the yacht to calmer waters , , sail it , sounds like the skipper was over come , or tow it maby. Good story makes you wonder , how good is my boat , is it strong enough What would it be like in these conditions on my own , I would be ok iam sure as Long as the wet gear is good and it can handle the weather , I have been caught in 60 kts up the bum two up and both could steer well so reducing sail was a breeze , we found zig zagging was the best way to steer and keeped us dry and the boat moving fast , no headsail, two deep reefs and she was going wild ,

Having trouble logging in , same user and password but won't let me but replays igetfrom forumshowsiam logged in ,

Usually the vendor is made aware of the defects and has the choice whether he is to fix these , or price adjust , these sound like small defects , if he does not want to fix the items , you have the right to walk from the deal , some buyers get prices from engineers to fix the items , but most sellers shy from these estimates as they are high , if you love the boat then buy it and fix it your self
-
