vic008 17
Wish to install a Volvo shaft seal. But my stern gland is of the style of having 2studs to put pressure on the packing.(its not circular). So need a round gland style that would take a volvo seal. Where from please? Also, a packed sterngland supports the shaft, but the volvo wouldn't. Is this an issue? waikiore 399
The best move , but not easiest is to fit an epoxy stern tube with intermediate bearings thus you can fit your choice of shaft seal (without loading it radially) and have no electrolysis going forward.
