Kaihe Atamai 2
Bit on indeed! The A Div / GC course had a great ride down the backside of Waiheke, with at least one squall causing widespread wipeouts and inadvertent pennants. Prizegiving tonight at 6 - come share your stories! Guest
A great day for a sail. We hit over 18k at Gannet, and with #3 and a reef had a solid beat home. A special well done mention to the skippers at the start line who protected boats as the main culprit carried on barging in.
Guest
Who was the boat with the Fosters kite that blew up near Gannet?

col j 0
Bit on aboard faster coyote. Fast downwind. Not so upwind. Top speed on gps 17.8. On a small boat punching into the oncoming swell downwind was interesting.
Wild727 5
Bit on aboard faster coyote. Fast downwind. Not so upwind. Top speed on gps 17.8. On a small boat punching into the oncoming swell downwind was interesting. He says "interesting" i say exhilarating, scary, wet, frightening, exciting and borderline insane. Excitement factor of 34.534 can be applied to that 17.8kts.... Flying basically... Never seen spinnakers that are ahead get bigger that quick... In one word AWESOME!!!!
