Dads Boat is have major problems with the props corroding

He has a Genesis 320 with twin volvo stern drives with duo props

When he brought it he had no problems for approximately 7 years then suddenly had quite bad corroding of the props, he replaced them then less than two years later they are stuffed again! One of the anodes is quite badly eroded the others 5 seem ok

Anodes are replaced every time its anti fouled, every two years approx.

anodes and props are all volvo factory

The boat is not connected shore power

It is kept on a marina berth

What is likely to be causing the problem ?

First thing is, never, NEVER EVER, apply a copper based Antifoul on or anywhere near your Props. One of the biggest mistakes people make is painting the Stern in Copper antifoul right up to the Stern legs. That is too close. You need to be at the very closest, at least 1m away from the Legs.
Next thing is, you will(or should) not get 2 yrs from an Anode. An anode should be replaced yearly. Any longer and you likely have too large an anode and it will not be working. Easy way to notice that scenario is if the Anode is coated in a hard white powdery coating. That is Zinc Oxide and insulates the Anode making it ineffective.

Make sure that Legs are electrically connected. You may need to couple them via a conductor to the engine block at the same point as your Battery neg connection.

Could be a stray current problem dockside or from the boat itself.

Disconnect the bonding wire off a seacock, and apply a multimeter to the bondwire and seacock  making sure it is completely disconnected and measure amps anything over milliamp is considered high.

If there is current present you can then play with breakers to see if you can isolate the cause of the current.

You can also try this with shore power connected if in doubt call in a marine sparky.
