Farrari 4 Posted January 19, 2011 Share Posted January 19, 2011 They generally don't like you filling up with water alone at the wharf at Fitzroy during peak season. It blocks the smellies from filling up their big diesel tanks at huge $$$. There is a water filling station just around the corner in Forestry Bay thou. Follow the shore around and it is tucked in behind just beside the floating house. It's spring water so you ought to filter it. Smokehouse Bay requires high tide (1.8m). We filled up there and there was some crap going that the gauze filter picked up. We also use a 0.5u internal filter so this tends to get rid of any after tastes. Link to post Share on other sites

Knot members only but they do strictly restrict the amount for non-members, especially at the busy times. And if it's real busy members do get preference to the wharf (recently rebuilt at a large cost) over non-members. But 65 notes a year is bugger all for the good and sometimes damn handy facilities, like the showers and washing machines which are strictly members only. IMO it's 65 bucks well spend... especially if you have teenage girls who don't understand boats aren't connected to the town water main... grrrrrrrrr Link to post Share on other sites
