Guest
Red heads and flat footed people bring bad luck to a ship if they are encountered while you are going to the ship. You can erase the bad luck if you speak to them before they speak to you. Your all gona die Muahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Fogg 427
Never set sail on a Friday. Never have bananas inboard - this happened the only time I had steering failure. Never have a vicar on board - this happened the only time I ever ran aground.
rigger 47
I ever ran aground. It is not called running aground - it is called engaging in an act of impact hydrography

rigger 47
Took a 35foot steam launch up to a certain pub with a passenger who used to be head of the survey / hydrographic dept of the navy. Got asked by another passenger if we would run aground finding our way up to the pub. I said most likely - that was when I learnt the phrase I ascertained that at a couple of points the water depth was a little less than 3ft

Megwyn 2
Women on board anger the sea but not, apparently, if they're naked. Naked women calm the sea.
