Fogg 427
Remember seeing these on the BBC years ago. Huge lifting power, including lifting himself + fish up out of the water Must be one of the highest strength/weight ratios of any animal? Love the way he shakes himself dry in flight at 1:25 and realigns the trout for max aerodynamic streamlining at 2.30 ready for a long flight, not stopping as soon as he's over land for a feed and a rest... 1paulg 17
Stunning footage ...with the trout/salmon it looks as though it is riding it like a surfboard at the end...

wheels 543
Is an Osprey bigger than a Bald Eagle? Because I have seen similar footage with a Bald Eagle. Or Golden Eagle. Or some kind of Eagle anyway. The thing that truely amases me with any birds that catch fish, is how on earth they see the things.
Fogg 427
Nah the Bald Eagle is bigger than the Osprey but they both like fishing. But my fav is the African Fish Eagle, about the same size as the Osprey, but so elegant in flight. But mebe I'm biaised having spent many fond hours gazing at them through my binos.
