Conrad's done a video dressed as Santa which is good for a laugh. He's growing in stature all the time with his variety of escapades not to mention the fact he is sailing really well.
-
Yes it was great coverage and the way Oats threaded the needle was awesome!
-
That is so cool! Well done
-
Fingers crossed it works better than last year
-
Going out of Whangarei use the outgoing tide
-
Alex should claw back some mileage in the Atlantic but Armel's got a fast boat, no damage we are aware of and damn good weather info
-
Whew! That's a relief less damage from a CP than a UFO
-
That is not looking good at all. Bugger!
-
Conrad's up to his tricks again. It seems his latest exploit is sewing a sail up the mast in 20 knots. He rocks that guy!
-
Bugger! Sébastien Josse is now out due to foil and foil housing damage
-
Yes Conrad's doing well, is currently in 12th positiin. Awesome!
-
Yes I see skipper names are now displayed. Conrad's up to 14th doing 12 kts vmg
-
Conrad's doing well keeping up with some newer boats and the Japanese guy looks to have been going well now and is up to 14th
-
Bugger. Vincent Riou on PRB has now retired after serious keel damage from hitting a ufo. He had been doing an amazing job keeping up with the foilers
-
Very tidy! Well done guys

Willow That tracker's cool with the wind on it. What a fascinating watch this race is and to have 28 boats still racing after 10 days is a great tribute to all the hard work that has gone into them
-
Hahaha. Those boats look great. If someone wants to do budget DIY its possible to get a lot for $120. I did my own art went to North Harbour signs who took a photo, printed sets plus extra numbers and labels of different sizes which I applied myself after watching a youtube vid. If someone can explain in basic language how to put a photo on here I can show the evidence.

harrytom. Yes when the kiwiprop was first fitted I had that problem. The guys who fitted it changed something which got rid of that problem. Sorry I can't remember what they changed but kiwiprop can help you
-
I was told that too. I ended up getting a kiwi feathering prop fitted and added nearly a knot of boat speed
-
There's a free vendee globe app which is quite nice. Conrad's got good speed and is 15th or 16th at the moment
-
Me too. It will be very interesting with such set up variation. I like it that a few guys are in there for the adventure of it. How many finish will be fascinating. I like to think that Conrad Colman is a definite finisher.

Sometimes apparently minor things become major ones. What you can consider is a clause in your sale and purchase agreement to the effect that if the issues turn out to be major - even going so far as to put a $ value on that - you and the vendor share the cost of repair. I did this when I bought my current yacht. The only issue might have been osmosis. The vendor and I agreed that if there was more than localised blistering we would share the cost of repair. We were both happy and in fact I found only 3 small blisters on the entire hull.

Seriesdrogue.com do the cones in Australia and also give instructions for diy. A set of 100 cones for a 4500kg boat is us$500

Lovely job KM
