Going for the gap

Yeah that could have just as easily gone the other way too. Hard to know if it was perfectly planned anbd steered, or a complete fluke it didn't broach a little harder into the hard stuff.

Ummm, why was someone standing on the bow??

Kinda reminds me of coming into Milford Marina on a bad day with strong easterlies. The waves push you away from the channel and you need to really gun the motor to stay ahead of the surf. Have seen a few guys end up against the breakwater cause their motor stalled or just did not have enough power

Closer to step off when they hit terra firma????

to hand over the mooring lines, no big deal for them apparently

As commented on another site by a Danish contributor, the boat is a visitor from another country, and the black ball in the port indicates the port was closed.

So its looking a lot like a giant misreading of the conditions to me, and although the skipper obviously has good skills, a hell of a lot of good luck is also there .

Looked a bit like coming into Tuts on a big day.

Heard a story about a launch going right over the rock on the port side on a big wave - must have been quite exciting...
