The point is that they would do it only if it's easy - these people don't do difficult. As KM notes Data base searches are dead easy. When they find you've out too long they don't even have to look for you. They'd stop paying and you'll come running! I think chasing a lot of overseas corporate tax is not that easy. If you look at your transactions you'll find the service or product or transaction is processed in other jurisdictions - ie Spotify is processed in Ireland and the service is developed in Scandinavia somewhere so it seems to me technically it is the user that's importing it. Inflatable Dinghies - the good, the bad and the ugly?
ScottiE replied to Sail Rock's topic in MarineTalk
weight was a biggy for me as well. I went for the 240TC - only 15kg for 240kg payload - wah, two kids and a wekend of supplies no problem for the next 5 years. By that stage I'll be able to trust S1 on his own to not drown himself on the paddle board out to the boat in a breeze! The best thing about them though was that they were an NZ company. I called them up - told them I didn't like the dicky rowlocks and ali oars on the puffins. No problem - they just built me the puffin with the pedestal mounted rowlocks and I reused my old oars. -
Inflatable Dinghies - the good, the bad and the ugly?

I got 12 years out of my SP puffin left on the rack at Westhaven. Bought another on last year and have it stored under the deck at home for quick launch. The new one is the next model up but the PVC is still the same. -
is shearers rock bouy the one by Tiri?
-
Yup - did the same thing when I bought the boat last year. In bolted absolutely everything. A year ago now but almost there. Took S1 'camping' at Sullivan's bay last night - sitting on the beach watching the sun come up wishing the boat was in the water!
-
Yeh - maybe ur right

Phantoms out off Westhaven this weekend should be fun to watch.

The interior of Ballistic was painted with Por15 Whitecote http://www.permanentpaintedcoatings.co.nz/por15/Products/Top_Coats/Whitecote.aspx Having dropped all manner of heavy tools on the floor etc. I cannot rate this highly enough. It basically started its life as a engine bay and chasis topcoat system I think. Pete just brushed it on and you would hardly tell as it seems to have set up very nicely.

Was going to use Sikaflex 295 but the window supplier has also suggested SabreBond Structural SMP60 which they now use. Still sand and prime acryllic surface so preparation is no different.

Nice! If you're going to do a hard Bimini Put the main sheet up there on a curved track a as well! Have a chat with BK, Mrs BK eats that sort of design work up for breakfast I'm told. Did a similar thing on Krisis a while back now and cookie still seems petty happy about it.

Aft deck done and ready for the painters when they get in on Monday morning. What a great place to work!

Nice! (all of it!)

Just finished "re-purposing" the composites workshop back to it's original man-cave condition (yes there is a difference - one is where you wanna be while the other is where you tell the wa where you need to go). If you look past the laminating table (thanks again John B ) and sheet product box I really don't think you'd know - she has a different opinion! (if you look the other way I can kinda see her point - no need for pics though!) Footnote - strategically positioned bottles of proper beer for KM's benefit!

After resigning myself to the fact that the boat won't be in for a wee while yet on account of me mate busting his ankle with one coat to go, I'm having another tidy up of the aft deck "planks". Doing it at me same mate's factory - what a difference a proper shop with proper tools, clear space, flat floor, good lighting, proper mechanical ventilation and just generally better all round working conditions, makes! Almost didn't want to come home to the screaming kids and annoying dogs this morning!

Bugger - the things you do with your boat to keep the wife happy! On Saturday, Geoff Phillips, 77, had been trying to help out his wife Aylin, who was in a dinghy a little closer to shore, but got stuck in the shallower water. "It was just an idiot moment," he said. "She's a write-off, we've got nothing." http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11566788

assuming you used a biodegradable toothbrush - I'd just leave it to live out life as intended. You do use biodegradable toothbrushes on board don't you . . . ?

Are you surprised that a suspected thief in one country gets off in a court in Australia - having sailed from that different country - with their lineage!

Do it at night - but don't knock any prostitutes or drug dealers into the piss on yer way out the gate that you've left wedged open with a trolley!
