Its fair to say that most powerboat owners are responsible and dare i say it if yachts were faster and could go any direction at speed then their skippers would be equally obnoxious in about the same numbers. A local said it recorded 15 metres yesterday afternoon! That buoy is off the corner of Whangarei heads so there is probably a bit of tide effect as well but thats spectacular numbers
