Oracle is still for sale, though we are going up north for 3 or 4 weeks cruising with the family, if your interested and see us in the Bay of Islands or even further north in Mangonui/Whangarora come over and have a chat.

yup, The Oracle, has it all, yacht being sold fully kitted with everything ready to go, cruising or racing. even the BBQ. New project looms and we are clearing everything out. make a reasonable offer.!

Just dropped the price to 59k, cant beat it for a category 2 race boat that you can also do extended cruising with the family. brilliant for short handed or solo races as well, all control lines come neatly into the cockpit. Fancy doing 20 knots through Cook straight with the kite up, while making cups of tea !!, Oracle can do it all. very stable and seaworthy. fits in a 10m berth, currently at westhaven on a cheaply rented private berth, that can be transferred to new owner. yes Oracle is almost set to go round again, last did this race in 2008. I unfortunately had to replace my boat partner Bob, he had rather bad kidney stones over the xmas break and is now not fit to sail. just last week i met Max Cross, and he is now to race with us. Last weekend we redid our qualifying miles, left friday evening with a fantastic spinnaker run straight out past great barrier for 100nm (hitting 12.6 top speed in 18 knots true.), turned left to the bay of island hit them and turned left again to sail upwind back to auckland. 259 nm in total. looking forward to the race now. before and after pic's ?

Your right about boating families.... and priorities when the kids start, we didn't sell the boat. kept the mighty oracle as is a good all round racer cruiser,...but to get into a bigger house we brought an old shitter and have now spent 5 years doing it up.... while cutting out yacht racing but still doing the cruising. (though less than previously.) we are approaching the final stage of the house, third floor and my/wifes bedroom in march next year, thus we are going cat3 racing this year again. i.e. coastal classic etc. like booboo, we have mostly second hand house stuff and the worlds sm

Hey Josh, your right ont he 10m thing, thats why we have stuck with Oracle all these years, she is 9.75 long and 3.5 wide so packs a mighty punch cruising and still keeps up with 1020's racing. i am still thankful i brought her almost 14 years ago now. like you now that my boys are getting older we are looking further afield again. the modifications are still happening too we are currently rebuilding the old rudder. and the next RNI is on the cards again.

good to see you still going. was wondering with no posts for a while. you have taken that boat a few steps further than i did or will with Oracle.... mind you is there a new keel/rudder planned ?

ouch ... i know how that feels ... keep up the good work gals..!!
