Looking for a bit of help, we had the boat out (Y88) for wash the other day and noticed a lot of slop in the rear shaft support as circled in red below. It appears a bit of old rubber or plastic bearing still inside but mostly gone. Any suggestions on what I would fit here to remove the slop and where to get it from? TIA as wanting to get this sorted reasonably quickly.

I won a Elliott 7 Team building activity through the RNZYS for 10x yachts for a rum race or other sailing afternoon. Would be a great opportunity to get your company and clients out sailing! I'm not going to be able to use it at this stage, so wondering if anyone or their company would be interested with funds going to a local Junior training program? Paid $800 which is a bargain for this type of activity

Can any one tell me what stratus 747 sail like single handed
Y88 5241 replied to bigbry63's topic in MarineTalk
I use to have one and was a dream to sail. Very well balanced. I had a big main on mine, so usually sailed with a reef by my self, but was a great boat! -
Question, how do you secure the sliding hatch to keep water out? One good one I have seen is to have a spring loaded bolt on a string to the outside. Can be pulled down on the inside and outside. Therefore locks the sliding hatch closed at the same time.

Didn't they propose a plan approx. 10 years ago to join with Torbay Sailing Club, by raising the building to gain the office space etc, and base out of there. I'm sure Andrew Brown was the leader on this.
