  1. It's a voluntary liquidation and there is other reasons behind it than financial. Remember there's other nz marine companies that need to be paid out of this so the liquidator has a job to get the maximum amount of money they can it's not just about having a fire sale so you can get cheap gear.
  2. Ring me tomorrow I have heaps 0275515061 cheers
  3. Yup its ercegs old boat had a massive electrical fire in but there was heaps of structural sh*t wrong with it steel hull and alloy top I am pretty sure. It was never a well looked after boat
  4. Knot me is so right and I know I fingered you fish appolgies there but i would quite happily become a moaner about this topic. I am very involved in the youth sailing side as Knot Me knows and our national body has alot to answer for. The lack of support to clubs for the levies they take is astounding. If you don't want to become an Olympian they don't give a sh*t and it comes from the top. Problem been is they get all their major funding from High Performance NZ. But if they don't sort things out there won't be any kids to send to the Olympics etc the loss rate of kids after optis a
  5. Exactly you want to participate support the clubs and organisations running these events. We had a casual racer fee of $10 at our club had people turn up not pay it and leave maybe come 4 times a year use the facilities race and nothing for the club so now if you want to race at our club you have to be a member its only fair on those that pay. the biggest barrier now a days for participation is time people are busier than they were 20yrs ago just in general.
  6. Fish did i name you i can read so pull your head in. I don't know see how making crew join a club is a barrier the club is still providing a service to your crew they want to go racing they want the bar after racing for a drink. A club doesn't make enough to run on just membership of the owner and races fees i know from fact so clubs ask thst people participating in their events are members of them or other affiliated clubs. As discussed above people playing rugby soccer etc you have to be a member. These clubs all struggle as well so if they said non members can play how would they s
  7. Once again another lot of moaning people. Instead of moaning why not get out of your chair join a yacht club get involved and help grow the sport that you are complaining is declining. Yacht clubs struggle for numbers and volunteers yet you won't join but want to rely on them running events for you but you don't want to support them. For a crew to join a club is alot cheaper than been an owner paying to run, berth, entry fees.
  8. Harken snubbing winches Brand new not needed never fitted to a boat. They turn and ratchet. Make an offer
  9. The Garmin Gwind still runs on Nexus Protocol and uses a GND10 Black Box to convert from Nexus to NMEA200 to then talk to the Garmin units. The masthead units are pre calibrated ex factory and you can only adjust this through Nexus race software and a laptop there is no provision for adjust them on a display you uses to be able to with the old units but not the Network units. You can adjust offset of the Masthead bracket but that's it.
  10. Price reduced to $2000 You need to see this is virtually a new boat
  11. All I am saying is I think $600 is pretty cheap to quote for that job and what he has charged maybe reasonably fair. Theres a few hours work in making stays so on top of the components etc you have labour did he have to take them off the rig and refit them this all adds up and was it in the original scope of work.
  12. I know said rigger very well and would call him far from a crook so I believe there is more to the story here. How big a boat is the replacement rigging going on as $600 for a boat of any size sounds bloody cheap especially if replacing all the rigging screws etc at the same time. I would suggest you go down and see him rather than bag him on a public forum.
  13. I have a Aquapro 1101 that I did up as a bit of a project it is a glass hull newly repainted with Durapox and have brand new tubes on it from Southern Pacific it is like a new boat. Still has the old keel guard on it but its good for purpose. Selling for $2500 ono without the trailer in the pics. PM me for details or text 0275515061 Cheers
