madyottie 82
Does anyone know how she compares to a GBE in various weather? Strengths, weaknesses etc? It's no secret I was in the market for a tri before buying the cat, and as she's going to need work anyway, there's a chance of increasing the cabin size a bit to make her more family friendly. There's also a trailer listed on TM which may be suitable, which would give me the package I wanted initially, ie. a trailable fast tri, with some basic accommodation. Just asking, before I waste time and money heading out for a look if she's not even close to suitable.
erice 732
not sure you could ever successfully make it family friendly without so much work you may as well make a niki cruz or simply wait for a trailertri will try and dig up the inside pics from old 'puter
madyottie 82
There's a 8m design by Ray Kendrick, the Scarab 8 which looks awesome, but I have a sneaky feeling that family won't let me build a new boat. I've also designed my own, which ticks all the boxes, and should perform ok, but the same rule applies!
ScottiE 174
For the family - hard to go past this . . . Creepy Crawler is a cool boat but you struggle to get anything like the room you need for you, the misus and 3 kids I reckon
Clipper 343
cool boat that one
madyottie 82
Erm, what do you do with the main when that's up? How much harder it would be to hang the tent under the boom instead of over the top? PS. it'll be 4 kids by summer cruise time!
Clipper 343
Main is on the boom. Tent is slipped between the boom and the flaked sail.

GregW 28
Its one of these (but long float version). There are a couple of drawings here which might help. Note CC has a vastly bigger rig. http://www.multihulldesigns.com/designs_stock/23tri.html

dashby 3
I purchased CC early Aug 2016. You should see it back on the water racing in late 2016.
